Explore the finest hotel collection in Scotland

Connoisseurs Scotland is a group of luxury hotels in Scotland and for the past twenty years I, Jeremy Hawkings, have been managing their marketing interests in Germany as their Chief Executive. Originally a hotel manager, I trained in Bad Pyrmont and Zurich and have also worked and lived in USA, UK, India and the Middle East.

I live with my wife and two dogs by the sea in the little village of North Queensferry and spend a significant part of my week travelling in Scotland. I enjoy driving on the quiet open roads where I meet more sheep than people and having lived in Scotland for 40 years I have now seen a great deal of this beautiful countryside. I love the west coast, [the further north the better] as well as the whisky producing area between Inverness and Aberdeen where there are more castles per square kilometre than anywhere else in Britain. My favourite whiskies are a lowland malt called Glenkinchie which comes from a little distillery near Edinburgh and Glengoyne 17 year old from the Campsie Hills, near Glasgow.
